Alpha Psi Psi honors cyber security and digital forensics students and professionals who pair excellence with the integrity their work demands. We look for three characteristics in a candidate: a commitment to improving our community, pragmatism, and professional excellence.

This application is completed and submitted entirely online. Fill in sections 01 through 07, upload your documents, submit, and pay the $85 fee. No printing, mailing, or wet signatures.

Experience

I work, or have worked, in cyber security, digital forensics, information security, or computer crime investigation. I have at least 3 years of full-time experience in the field, or a related degree plus at least 1 year of experience.

Credentials (at least one)

I hold a degree in a related field. I hold, or have held, a recognized industry certification. I have completed formal agency, law enforcement, or employer training in the field.

Standing & service

No certifying body, licensing board, or employer has revoked my credentials or disciplined me for professional misconduct. I have never been disciplined for unauthorized access or misuse of a computer system. A supervisor or professional colleague has agreed to serve as my reference and may be contacted by the Society. I continue to make a positive impact on my community.

Related fields include digital forensics, incident response, network defense, penetration testing, threat intelligence, information assurance, e-discovery, cybercrime investigation, and teaching in any of these areas. The review committee makes the final call on fields not listed.
