Chapter Application

Investigations are built on integrity, proven by diligence, and driven by our members.

A chapter brings national recognition to your program and your top students: scholarship opportunities, letters of recommendation, networking with industry professionals, graduation regalia, and a credential that stands out to employers. Chapters look for members with three characteristics: a commitment to improving our community, pragmatism, and academic excellence.

The proposed Chapter Advisor completes this application entirely online. Fill in sections 01 through 07, upload the required documents, and submit. No printing, mailing, or wet signatures.

This checklist is for you; you will confirm it at the top of the application.

Institution & program

The institution is accredited by a recognized regional or national accreditor, or, for high schools, recognized by the state department of education. The institution offers a degree, minor, certificate, or technical program in cyber security or digital forensics.

People

A faculty member who teaches in the program has agreed to serve as Chapter Advisor. At least three students have agreed to serve as founding officers: President, Vice President, and Secretary-Treasurer. Each founding officer meets ΑΨΨ membership standards and has submitted a student membership application.

Recognition & governance

The department chair (or program director) and a dean or above (or the principal) will sign the Mutual Recognition Agreement in section 05. The chapter has adopted bylaws from the ΑΨΨ Chapter Bylaws Template. The chapter will complete at least three community service activities and hold at least one induction ceremony each academic year.

A Co-Advisor is optional but recommended, so the chapter continues if the Advisor leaves. High school officers under 18 need guardian consent on their student applications.
